Windham floursack labels per panel

Eeek - this is fab- a beautiful flourack label fabric designed by Windham fabrics. The label have agreat vintage feekl to them advertinfing the contents of the floursack bags - light crust flour, bakers choice flour, Mothers way cream meal, fisher King flour - etc. The scales vary for  each sign - but to give you an idea - the windmill label is 16cm in height and the mothers way cream meal is 19cm in height.

Printed floursacks,  were a tradition beginning in the great depression. It is estimated that by the early 1940's over 3 million women and children were wearing some version of a printed feedbag garments.
One of the reasons for there being thousands of different flour sack designs was the idea that the shorter the time that a particular design was available, more designs would be used. Women wanted more fabric designs and would therefore help drive demand for the flour.
